Keller's Cause is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was founded in September of 2015, in the name of double merles. Double J Dog Ranch
Hauser Lake, Idaho
Our mission is to rescue, re-home or offer sanctuary to double merles and other special needs dogs in jeopardy of euthanasia. Offer hospice care as an alternative to euthanasia for dogs at municipal shelters. Educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter, unethical breeding practices, and what wonderful pets animals with special needs are.
Carolina Hearts Aussie Rescue
Durham, North Carolina
Carolina Hearts Aussie Rescue is a volunteer based organization whose purpose is rescue and place herding dogs into forever homes. Herding dogs do not do well in shelters and typically shut down. Their instincts and high intelligence lead them to become fearful and over stimulated in shelter environments. This often makes them seem un-adoptable to shelter staff and these healthy, well-behaved animals are often euthanized without ever having a chance to be on the adoption floor. While they are not double merle focused, they take in a great deal of them and find them wonderful homes.
Second Chance Farm
Granbury, Texas
Our mission is to offer care and a peaceful living environment for abused, physically handicapped, aged or homeless animals. Second Chance Farm offers an open space facility, a place of refuge, to help in protecting the quality of life and improve the well being of these animals through prevention, education, intervention, placement and lifetime care where they will live out their lives with dignity, love, and respect.
Pink Heart Rescue
Indianapolis, Indiana
Here at Pink Heart Rescue we strive not only to educate about Double Merle dogs but to assist Double Merle owners who need help with training or caring for their dog, help breeders and owners who may have not been prepared to take on the responsibility of a Double Merle dog, and help place Double Merle dogs in fitting homes that are prepared to work with a special needs dog and will be a forever home.
